Mom of three

having three kids is something i have gotten used to but having three kids by myself was new. David has been working A LOT of hours at work which leaves me at home with the kids. Last weekend was the first weekend that we had wyatt since he started working these crazy hours. This meant that i would have all three kids while david was a work. Now you moms with three kids are thinking this is now big deal but for me this is a huge step for me. I planned a busy weekend with them so that we could take advantage for the time we have together and so that the days would go by fast. First was Friday hockey practice for wyatt. I have not taken him to hockey before by myself but it worked out well. Wyatt was very excited to have me take him and watch him practice. (he is the one in the Americans jersey)
Saturday we got up and packed the stroller then walked down to Kadlec for their annual safe kids day. The kids got fitted and received a new bike helmet, played what seemed like a hundred different games, climbed into a fire truck, police car and medstar helicopter, ate snacks and got a bunch of cool little toys/things. They had a lot of fun and were awesome the whole time.

After a fun but long morning at safe kids day we stopped on our way home and got ice cream to cool off. once home we had lunch and rested for a bit before we went to the store so the kids could pick something out for david for his birthday. They had so much fun shopping for him i had to limit them a little or they may have tried to just buy everything in the store for him. Lol! We went home after that and were all a little hot so we decided to have a sponge war. I made up some sponge balls real quick and we all headed for the back yard. Even Allyxis had fun with it. In the end we were all soaked.

Evening came quick and before we knew it we were on to the next planned thing. So we dropped off Allyxis at grandmas so that we (me, wyatt and payten) could head to the ice arena to do some skating. As i figured it would turn out Payten went around once and didn't want to do it anymore. So it ended up just being me and Wyatt skating for a couple of hours. He seemed to really enjoy the one on one time and i like to think it helped him with his skating a little.

A Wyatt day

This last Saturday we were able to get Wyatt for the day and take advantage of a weekend off for David.  We went up to ice harbor dam to watch the fish. Wyatt sat in the fish room for a good half hour waiting for the fish to swim past the window. As you can imagine the boys had fun and enjoyed being outside.

After the dam visit and a mountain of ice cream treat we went in the evening to the El Ketif Shriner's Circus. Wyatt had so much fun and was amazed at the circus animals. David had never been to a circus before and with his luck he got picked to go up and do a bit with a few other guys with he clown. it was incredibly hilarious and Wyatt thought it was cool that daddy was in the circus.

I can do it all by myself

Last week we came home and made sandwiches for lunch. well payten decided that she was big enough to make her own food. enough said, go ahead kids! she did it and ate it very proudly.

A visit to the grandparents

We took the opportunity to get out of town with my parents to go over to the other side of the mountains and see my grandparents(the girls great grandparents). we went to Cabelas, the farmers market and spent some time with the grandparents. David couldn't believe that i went to Cabelas without him but got over it finally and was happy that i am enjoying things he enjoys. anyways, we thoroughly had fun and enjoyed spending time with family that we don't get to see very often.

craft projects galore

lately i have been in a crafty mood and have been doing them every chance i get. first i made letters for wyatt so that he would also have his name in the kids room just like the girls(just a little more boy style).

Then i made a photo board for my grandma for her birthday. i have made a few before. ( i didnt get a finishing picture but this is about half way through)
Then for davids birthday i made him a "Mans" bouquet. and yes he has already recieved it even though his birthday is not this weekend.

Birthday Girls:)

my big girls turned 5! i cant believe how fast the last five years have gone by. we celebrated by having a birthday party at Hubby's Pizza with all our family and some friends. the kids had so much fun playing on the playground while the adults got to conversate. Payten got some awesome gifts that she loves and of course got really spoiled by grandma and papa. Overall a success! thanks to all that came.
